Each province is allowed to enter up to 20 athletes (10 females and 10 males) with registration for the Virtual Dryland Junior Nationals on Friday, July 9th.
Dive Ontario will be running Virtual Dryland Provincials, which will be used to select the Ontario athletes who will compete in the DPC Dryland Nationals.
Here are some important Provincial dates to note:
- Athlete registration for Dryland Provincials: June 20th, 2021
- Athletes will record routines: Between now and June 23rd, 2021
- Upload of routine: By June 23rd, 11:59pm – Dive Ontario will share a OneDrive link where videos can be uploaded
- Evaluation of routines: Will take place from June 26th – 27th, 2021
The divers who place first in each age category/gender (5 females and 5 males) will automatically be selected to represent Ontario at Nationals. The remaining 10 open spots will be filled with the divers who scored the highest overall, regardless of their age category (5 females and 5 males).
“For those athletes, who have been training diligently at home, this is a great opportunity to showcase your hard work. Even if you have been away from it for a while, we encourage you to participate. Although it is a competition, it is also a fun way to get outside, be active, and prepare for once we are back in the pools!” – Anna Dacyshyn, VP of Sport Performance.
