Volunteers

Volunteers play an important role in the success of diving competitions across Ontario. Dive Ontario welcomes volunteers to support Aspire meets, as well as provincial and national competitions when they are hosted in Ontario.

Volunteers help ensure events run smoothly and that athletes, coaches, and officials can focus on competition. No prior diving experience is required, and many roles are suitable for individuals who are new to the sport.

Volunteer Roles

A wide variety of volunteer roles are available at competitions, including:

• Table assisting
• Score entry
• Announcing
• General event support

Training and guidance are provided on site, and volunteers work alongside experienced officials and event staff.

Student Volunteer Hours

Dive Ontario is proud to support high school students who require volunteer hours as part of their graduation requirements. Volunteering at diving competitions is a great way for students to:

• Earn required community service hours
• Gain experience working as part of an event team
• Learn responsibility, communication, and organizational skills
• Be part of a positive and supportive sport environment

Volunteer hours can be tracked and confirmed as required by schools.
