Lyn, Ontario – Dive Ontario was able to catch-up with Toronto Diving Academy diver, Tyler Risman. Tyler shares some of his greatest memories and his future aspirations for his diving career. Enjoy our interview below!

Q: At what age did you begin to dive?

I started diving at 5 years’ old

5231D on 10 m

Q: What is your greatest accomplishment as a diver?

Placing 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd in the Madrid Diving Open Age Group Competition

Q: What are some lessons you have learned since you began diving?

The biggest thing diving has taught me is to never give up no matter how hard things get!

Q: Who is your diving role model?

C.J. Moore

Q: What are your long-term goals for diving?

My goal has always been to receive a scholarship to an NCAA Division 1 university.

Q: Do you have a pre-competition routine?

Before every competition, I have someone draw a smiley face on the back of my neck for good luck.
