Lyn, Ontario – Dive Ontario was able to interview Glenn Eloriaga from the Etobicoke Diving Club. Glenn shares a little bit about how diving has impacted his life while giving some great words of encouragement to divers!

Q: At what age did you begin to dive?

I started diving when I was 7 years old.

Q: Why did you start diving?

While I was learning to swim, I loved jumping off the diving board so I joined the learn to dive program, the rest is history.

Q: What keeps you motivated?

Setting small goals to stay productive.

Q: Favourite dive?

Q: What is your greatest diving accomplishment?

6th place finish at Speedo Junior Elite National.

Q: What does diving mean to you?

Diving is an important aspect in my life as it truly shows who I am as a person.

Q: What are some lessons you have learned since you began diving?

The best skill of a diver is the will to learn something new.

Q: What is the best part of competing?

Seeing the support everyone has for each other.

My mom

Q: What are your long-term goals for diving?

To earn a diving scholarship and continue my diving career.
