Almonte, Ontario – Another chapter has closed in Dive Ontario’s book, as we say goodbye to our Summer Marketing and Communications intern, Kyarra Hasmatali. Dive Ontario would like to thank Kyarra for all of the hard work and dedication she has put forth for the diving community. She used her creativity to find new ways to highlight Ontario divers and make others fall in love with the sport. Kyarra helped build Dive Ontario’s brand personality through day-to-day engagement with the community on our social media platforms. Since Kyarra has joined our team, her optimism and ambition have radiated through her many projects.
Kyarra has brought so much light to the diving community. Her work ethic and initiative kept Dive Ontario active on our platforms and engaging with our diving community. The diligence and care she puts into all of the content she creates also shows just how much passion and heart goes into everything she does. Kyarra will be missed, but this is only the start of her journey, and I am excited to see where she goes next. – Nathan Abdelnour, Executive Director
Kyarra is an incredibly talented and hard-working individual. Throughout her internship, she developed creative initiatives that highlighted our Ontario divers and the diving community. I wish Kyarra all the best as she completes her final year of university and look forward to seeing her future accomplishments. – Megan Pereira, Administration and Operations Coordinator
Kyarra’s biggest project throughout her internship was the creation of a 12-Month Marketing and Communications Plan for Dive Ontario to implement in the 2021-22 season. This project allowed Kyarra to interact and connect with the diving community, as well as marketing and communications coordinators from multiple sports organizations. She has also created and maintained multiple social media initiatives to showcase the love and success we see between our clubs and our divers on a daily basis.
I cannot express how grateful I am to Nathan Abdelnour for providing me with the many opportunities that have been put forth during this internship. His guidance and mentorship have helped me learn so much about the position and about myself, which I will cherish as I move into my next chapter. Thank you to Megan Pereira, who has been such a joy to work with. She is always willing to lend a helping hand with a smile on her face, and I will always look up to her for her determination and work ethic. To the diving community, thank you for welcoming me with open arms, and for collaborating with me to showcase this amazing sport and these Ontario divers. Thank you for allowing me to be your voice for the past four months – it has truly been an honour, and I will certainly not forget the relationships that were created along the way. – Kyarra Hasmatali
Please join us in thanking Kyarra for all of her contributions and wishing her the best of luck as she enters her fourth year of university. Although we will miss her, we are excited to see what the future holds for her, and she will always be considered as a part of the Dive Ontario family.
